Emma and her MOH Diana, 2012 |
Hi! I'm Diana. I'm a maker born from a family of makers. Some of my earliest memories are of me begging to play in Granddaddy's shop to nail together bits of wood and of me sitting at Grandma's feet piecing together fallen quilt scraps. And I've never stopped playing. I've become a jill-of-all-trades with interests in writing, photography, sewing, fiber arts, drawing, and more. This makes for too many storage bins crammed full of supplies, but also some (hopefully) interesting projects I'm excited to share with you!
Emma is the name. For a
while in college, I tried (hard) to change it to Emma Cate, and I got a whole 2
people to call me that for an entire semester!
Even though that identity crisis ended a long time ago, I still don’t
really know how to describe myself. I am
always searching for new things to challenge me and grow me – whether as a girl,
a wife, a repairman, a carpenter, an electrician…. You get the picture. As a recently unemployed engineer in a very small
town, I am constantly finding new ways to keep busy (enter: fixer-upper house). Usually I love it, sometimes I hate it,
always I’m learning. Hope you can too!

Time to learn me some crafting. Something with an axe to start maybe?
