Emma's Favorites
I spent four days this week between my bed and the couch, medicating a fever, so I had a lot of time to catch up on my shows (and start new ones - looking at you, Bones!). This is one of those shows that I wish would last forever. It's in its final season now (booo), but the first six seasons are on Netflix (and more recent episodes on Hulu). It's a comedy mixed with crime... just enough crime to be interesting, not enough to give you nightmares. It's the one, single show Stephen and I watch together that we both enjoy enough that we don't have to "compromise" on something else. (Seriously. Every other show is a fight between sitcom and documentary... yuck!)

Maybelline Royal Blue Mascara
Apparently some people thing this is weird? My mom used to wear it, so I thought it was normal. And then my cross country runner idol in high school wore it everyday to school and all of us underclassmen swooned over it (I'm including you, Diana). And then I wore it in college and got made fun of by boys (Todd, if you're reading this, I haven't forgotten you!). But it's so beautiful and different! I'm challenging you to branch out and try something other than your brown and black - even if it's not blue! I also have green... but blue is still my favorite. Try something new! Why not now?

Victoria Emerson Wrap Bracelet

I've seen beaded wrap bracelets tutorials online before, but I've always skipped over them. This bracelet made me want to revisit them and make about a million of them. I'm such a fan of this bracelet because it's made with small beads and wraps five times around my wrist instead of just once or twice. The small beads aren't overwhelming on my little wrist and it's nice to get the stacked bracelet look with minimal effort.
I've been looking around the local big box craft stores for leather like this, but I haven't quite found anything I like. I think I'll have to visit a specialty shop or hunt about online for the perfect size for my next projects.
I-cord Cast-on

This youtube video taught me how to work this cast-on. It's a great tutorial without a lot of chatter--just a close up of the technique. My favorite kind of tutorial!
This particular cast-on is for a secret knitting project... which sounds a bit silly. But it's for a present... I'll make a post about it when it's finished and gifted, I promise!
Happy Friday!
