It begins...

We met when we were only ten years old, so we've had over half of our lives to decide that we're really best friends material. When Diana's family moved next door to Emma's, all it took was a pair of rollerblades to bring us together.

We were fast friends and bonded over our love of playing outside, video games, Pokemon, and make believe. During the summer, we would lose ourselves in the Sims. Even back then we collaborated on projects!

and Diana's. Even then we knew the importance of friendship.

Since we were next-door neighbors, we had a secret jar buried between our yards so we could leave messages to each other. This was before we each had cell phones and high speed internet.

Despite going to the same middle school and being in the same grade, we didn't have any classes together until high school (though that only happened because tears were shed... and we're not saying by whom). After four years of track meets, calculus tests, and essays on Shakespeare, we went on to our separate colleges to pursue our separate majors, and, eventually, live on separate coasts.

Today, we're grown ups. At least, we pretend to be. We still love and fight like sisters and miss each other desperately.

We started this blog to share our DIY projects and passion with each other and with the world. We hope you enjoy reading it as much as we're enjoying creating it!
