Etekcity Ultimate USB 3.0 Docking Station
One of my shiny new toys for my future nice office, this docking station has been. Da bomb.  It retails for $88 on Amazon (I bought the "used" version to save some $).  I was a little hesitant, having never used a USB docking station before - but this does not disappoint!  The docking station claims to work with both Mac and PC.  It works well on my Mac, with no noticeable performance issues.  I have a keyboard, monitor (with VGA connection - there's a VGA/HDMI adapter to match whatever you have), and speakers hooked up to the docking station, with several USB ports leftover for thumb drives or a wired mouse (but we all know wireless is where it's at).  The only thing I wish it did was charge my computer too, but that would just be too good to be true.  Seeing as how the price on these babies can go way up to $200, I'd call my $70 well spent!

Unicorn Pillow Pet
I'm only pretending to be less than enthused.
It's a pillow, it's a pet... it's a pillow pet. This isn't the stupidest thing I've purchased, but only because I love it so much (and it was on super sale...). I took it on a road trip recently and it was the best car pillow I've ever had. The Velcro bit on the bottom (aka the part that transforms it from a pillow to a pet) makes this pillow weirdly practical despite its unicorn shape. Instead of trying to fold and bunch up a normal pillow and keep it in place against the car window, I just attached the Velcro strap and my pillow stayed in place. At the end of my trip, I emerged from the car a little grumpy (as per usual) but with no awkward car neck pain. Now all he needs is a name....

Trader Joe's Cold Brew
Summertime and hot weather means it's time for cold coffee... and Trader Joe's Cold Brew makes for an easy cup of cold coffee when I'm feeling summertime lazy. Just mix half milk (I use almond milk) and half of the Cold Brew and you've got a tasty beverage in seconds. I add a little bit of chocolate syrup for a makeshift mocha and to appease my inner child. Pop in a couple of ice cubes and you're ready to face the day.

Happy Friday!
