Skil Jigsaw Blade Set
Once upon a time, there was a jigsaw with a couple blades that was used for everything and the blades got so worn they wouldn't cut anything without completely tearing it up.  But that is not the end of the story!  Today I went and bought this jigsaw blade set (retails $9.48 at Lowe's) and cut lots of wood and lots of laminate.  I love this set because it comes with 13 blades (what a deal!) and it tells you for what each blade is meant... wood smooth cut, metal rough cut, etc.  And the best part?  That information is printed right on the blade.  It rubs off once you cut with it, but at least initially it takes out so much guesswork that I'm used to.  I haven't had a ton of time to play with all the blades (or take pictures), but in my hours of use today on different materials, plus the low price tag, I am thrilled.

Rustoleum Oil Rubbed Bronze Spray Paint
Hello again, dear friend. (I love all things Rustoleum)  Rustoleum does not disappoint with this beautiful ORB paint - I've sprayed light fixtures (minimum day-to-day contact) to door knobs (maximum day-to-day contact) with this glimmery finish and have yet to see a single chip - and I sprayed at least six months ago.  I didn't even use primer (gasp!)!  It's has a eye-catching shine and it looks like the expensive real deal... except it's only $7 from Lowe's.  Instead of replacing outdated towel rods, brass hardware, etc, I demand encourage you to give this a try first.  Open your heart a little.  Let Rustoleum in.  Make some magic happen.  (I'll post pics of my projects later, I promise! Having some technical issues over here!)

it'sGrace youtube channel Grace HelbigGrace Helbig is an actress and comedian with her own Youtube channel.  She's hilarious and awkward and I want to be her friend. She films her Youtube videos herself and writes her own content, which leads to  unexpected hilarity with some surprisingly poignant moments sprinkled in. Her content ranges from user-requested advice videos to vlogging about her experiences in show business, but her comedic approach makes what seems like a mundane video something I look forward to watching every weekday. Subscribe! You won't regret it.

Planets App for iPhone
I love all things sky, even though I honestly know more about astrology than astronomy. That's why the Planets app by Q Continuum is so handy. This app uses your location to approximate a three-dimensional view of the solar system. All you have to do is point your phone at the sky and the stars are there and labeled for your viewing pleasure. It's astronomy for dummies! I'm ready to take it on the parkway this summer and finally learning more constellations beyond Orion's Belt and the Big and Little Dippers.

  1. Have you tried Valspar with primer spray paint? That will make you start thinking about Valspar in the shower the way you think about rustoleum
